Hannah Carrick (b. 1988, Australia) is a Byron Bay–based artist whose practice explores biophilia, the innate connection between humans and nature and the healing potential of the creative process. Her work invites introspection, weaving together themes of femininity, emotion, and the body as landscape.
Working primarily with oil and mixed media, Carrick builds and erodes layers of colour and texture, scraping back surfaces to reveal what lies beneath. This intuitive, physical process mirrors an inner excavation, where painting becomes a ritual of uncovering, release, and renewal. Her works evoke warmth and nostalgia while holding space for emotional openness and reflection.
Carrick has presented four solo exhibitions, including at Yeah Nice Gallery, Rainbow Studios, and Saint Cloche, and has participated in group exhibitions across Los Angeles, Paris, and Hong Kong. Her work is represented internationally by The Tappan Collective & Etesian Gallery.
