Pascale Zintzen is a multidisciplinary artist based between Barcelona and the Baix Ebre countryside. Working with clay, bronze, painting, weaving and lime, she creates objects and sculptures rooted in natural materials, slow processes and a pared-back approach to beauty.

Ceramics sit at the centre of Zintzen’s work, informed by her background as an archaeologist specialising in domestic ceramics. She draws on the simplicity of everyday and ancient objects, reinterpreting their forms through a contemporary perspective that moves between functional design and sculpture. She also collects wild pigments from the surrounding landscape to paint and finish her clay pieces.

Her work brings together the Wabi-Sabi appreciation of imperfection with memories of childhood, Mediterranean landscapes and the rhythms of everyday life. Natural and “poor” materials are transformed through repetitive, hands-on processes, allowing the qualities of each material to remain visible.

Pascale's practice developed alongside her life between the city and the countryside, with both environments becoming part of her creative process. Her Oikos Estudio project grew from her home studio in Barcelona and later expanded into the countryside, where she works on larger pieces and experiments with techniques such as lime mortar.

Across her different mediums, Pascal creates quiet, tactile works that celebrate simplicity, imperfection and the beauty of objects made by hand.
