Joshua Perkin (b. 1990, Shuckburgh, England) is a painter based in Catalunya whose practice is informed by movement, observation and cultural exchange. Having spent years working across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South Asia, his work draws upon a wide range of visual experiences that are transformed through memory, imagination and the act of painting.

Perkin creates expansive pictorial worlds where fragments of landscapes, architectural forms and human presence dissolve into fluid, atmospheric compositions. Rather than depicting specific locations, his paintings synthesise diverse references into imagined environments that exist beyond geographical or cultural boundaries.

Central to his practice is an ongoing exploration of place, perception and the relationship between lived experience and artistic production. Through layered surfaces and intuitive mark-making, Perkin constructs evocative visual narratives that balance abstraction and representation, inviting viewers into immersive spaces shaped by both personal memory and collective imagination.
