Diego Sanchez Barcelo is a multidisciplinary artist, illustrator and designer whose practice spans sculpture, digital imagery, animation and installation. Characterised by a distinctive sense of humour and surreal visual language, his work inhabits imaginary worlds populated by anthropomorphic forms, playful characters and unexpected encounters between the natural and the artificial.

Drawing inspiration from nature, archaeology, architecture, design and material culture, Sanchez Barcelo creates works that blur the boundaries between the familiar and the absurd. Growing up on an island has profoundly shaped his relationship with landscape and organic forms, elements that continue to appear throughout his practice in the guise of stone figures, hybrid creatures and dreamlike environments.

Experimentation lies at the heart of his process. Moving fluidly between drawing, sculpture and digital media, he embraces intuition, chance and play as tools for discovery. Through this approach, Sanchez Barcelo constructs immersive visual narratives that combine technical precision with a sense of wonder, inviting viewers into worlds that are at once humorous, poetic and deeply imaginative.
